
India’s veteran cricketer Rishabh Pant met with an accident on the Delhi-Dehradun highway in the early hours of Friday. After the car collided with the divider on the road, the cricketer suffered several injuries, while the car was completely gutted in flames. Pant told that he had lost control of the vehicle due to dozing and the accident happened. However, in the past, this cricketer has been challaned not once but twice in Uttar Pradesh for driving at high speed.
Notices have also been sent by Uttar Pradesh Police Traffic Directorate to Rishabh Pant for depositing the amount of the challan. Under these, Rishabh Pant’s Mercedes car (DL10CN1717) violated the traffic rules at 11:30 pm on February 22 this year. The car running at over speed was captured in the cameras installed on the road. Regarding this, a challan of Rs 2000 was sent to Pant under the Motor Vehicle Act, which is still pending.
Apart from this, the same car of the cricketer again violated the speed limit at 5 pm on May 25. Then again a notice was sent to the car owner Pant to pay a fine of Rs 2000. According to the Transport Department of the UP government, at present the fine amount of both the challans has not been deposited by the vehicle owner.
